NFL Flag San Diego’s Fall 2019 youth flag football leagues have officially kicked off play for the fall season. Fall, when college and professional football also begin their seasons, is always one of our most popular seasons for player turnout.  This fall has been no exception so far.  Not only has turnout has been extremely strong, which is consistent with the trend of annual growth year over year that our leagues have shown since we first started play in 2013, but our players, coaches and parents have all been extremely enthusiastic through the season’s first three weekends of games.  Our leagues, which began with a single site in 2013, now take place at four different sites throughout greater San Diego.  With three weekends’ worth of games in the record books, fall 2019 is shaping up to be NFL Flag San Diego’s best fall showing yet.   

The Fall 2019 Leagues

The 2019 fall leagues are taking place at Chula Vista (Monte Valle Park), North County (Connors Park), Poway (Meadowbrook Middle School) and San Diego (Kearny High School).  The fall 2019 games are being played on Friday nights at our Chula Vista, North County and Poway sites, while our San Diego site will play its games on Saturdays. Games will be played every weekend through November 2nd, with the playoffs and the Super Bowl championship weekend taking place shortly thereafter.  This fall also marked the debut of Gamebreaker helmets in all our youth flag football leagues.  This headgear is the safest on the market and we are excited that our young athletes will be suiting up with the best available safety technology out there each game day.  Judging by the first three weekends of games, this fall will feature excellent competition in each of our age groups and is set to be one of our most successful years yet.
