NFL Flag Football San Diego recently finished its fall 2019 season with an exciting slate of games during its season-ending Super Bowl weekend. In our sixth year of operation, young athletes in each of our age groups competed in two divisions (Gold and Silver) culminating in a Super Bowl championship to determine who would be the champion in each of the age groups.  Our fall league, the season when football is played at the professional and collegiate level, has always been among our most popular leagues.  In what is a true testament to the growing popularity of youth flag football across the country, our leagues have expanded to four different locations from a single location when we first started out in 2013 and are now offered year-round.  This past season was a great success and all of our young men and women not only had fun staying fit and learning the fundamentals of flag football but also learned the value of hard work and teamwork while they were doing so. 

The Fall 2019 Playoffs

In the Gold/Competitive Division, the following teams were Super Bowl champions:

• Pre-K/K Browns coached by Coach Caldwell
• 1st/2nd Cowboys coached by Coach Bautista
• 3rd/4th Rams coached by Coach Wally
• 5th/6th-7th-8th Team High Intensity Chargers coached by Coach Tamoepeau

In the Silver/Recreational Division, the following teams triumphed:

• Pre-K/K Saints coached by Coach Daniel
• 1st/2nd Raiders coached by Coach Cerino
• 3rd/4th Patriots coached by Coach Mecucci
• 5th/6th 49ers coached by Coach Brown
• 7th/8th Saints coached by Coach Barnum

All the teams that competed earned the respect and admiration of their fellow competitors.
