Registration for NFL Flag Football San Diego’s Winter 2020 flag football league registration recently wrapped up and showed yet another increase in our league’s participant numbers. Remarkably, our participant numbers increased by 29% this year as compared with our Winter 2019 league, proving that San Diego and its youth athletes are excited for flag football. This spike in registration numbers also took place during a part of the year when many young athletes may be traveling with their families out of town for the holidays for part of the season.  This increase in participation is yet another sign of how our youth flag football leagues, which began with a single site a few short years ago, now represent the largest year-round youth flag football leagues in California.

The Winter 2020 Season 

Originally conceived to help our players who still wanted to keep their skills sharp in between our fall and spring leagues and to enable them to have the opportunity to compete in this annual window when other sports are out of season, our winter league is now extremely popular in and of itself.  Featuring four weekends of action-packed games to be followed by a championship tournament weekend, play for the winter season begins the weekend of January 10th-11th and continues through the weekend of January 31st-February 1st.  The champions in each division will be crowned after our playoff weekend on February 7th-9th. 

Spring 2020 Leagues Registration

Registration for our spring leagues is still open and closes February 3rd.   Our spring season, along with the fall leagues, is always one of our most popular leagues, so it is important that you register as soon as possible to ensure that your child has a spot.  The Spring 2020 Leagues will begin play the weekend of March 13th and 14th and will feature eight weekends of regular season games plus play-offs and a championship weekend. Our spring league will also include one of our extremely popular NFL Player Days, when our young athletes get the chance to meet their professional football player idols and interact with the pros in an intimate setting.  This is a feature that is only available through NFL Flag San Diego given our affiliation with the National Football League.  Sign up now to ensure your child will have a spot.
